Honey to the Bee

Hello Beauties,
Following my recent blog post all about my addiction to Lush Cosmetics which you can read here. I thought I'd follow up with reviews on each item and so I will begin with one of my all time favourite Lush bath bombs, the Honey Bee. Every time I visit Lush the Honey Bee bath bomb is the very first item I place in the cute wicker basket provided. I can not resist the sweet honey scent and amazing properties of this bath bomb.

Honey Bee bath bomb is described by Lush as 'Sweet, soothing and cleansing'. I totally agree with the statement made by Lush however I would also describe it as indulging and yummy! Honey Bee onced placed in the bath immediately fizzes up and creates a lemon yellow burst of colour and a white milky foam. The bath water becomes silky and creamy to touch.

Honey Bee is made up of 13 natural ingredients, the six stand out ingredients include;
Rhassould Mud - Cleanses and removes grease from the hair and body. It can be found in the mountains in Morocco and makes up the grey portion of the Honey Bee bath bomb.
Honey- Is a natural antiseptic and encourages the body to retain moisture, it also smells Delicious!
Aloe Vera Extract and Gel - Calms and soothes, whilst hydrating the skin.
Sweet Wild Orange Oil-   Smells absolutely mouthwatering and according to Lush it contains antiseptic and toning qualities and the scent can also lift your mood.
Bergamot Oil- Is uplifting and aromatic and it is believed that adding Bergamot oil to your washing and cleansing routine can treat disorders such as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) which I am a victim of come the rainy seasons!
Gardenia Oil- Lush use Gardenia Oil to colour their products naturally, however it is believed that Gardenia Oil to treat UTI's, headaches and tension.

Lush have listings on their website for every single ingredient used in their products, so if there is anything you are unsure of in any of their products, it is simple and easy to look them up. The information Lush provide is super informative and interesting.

Honey Bee is honestly one of my favourite bath bombs from Lush and never fails to impress me, time and time again! You can purchase Honey Bee for £3.25 online at Lush Cosmetics or in your local Lush store!

Have you ever tried Honey Bee? I will have more Lush product reviews to follow!

Miss Selfridge. Print It. Top Picks

Hello Beauties,
I have recently been having a major sort out ready for when I move house later this week and I have realised that come Winter or Summer my wardrobe usually consists of black, white and grey attire, I do own the odd colourful clothing item however it is very rare that I add these to my daily outfits. I do often add the odd splash of colour through the use of handbags, my mint green converse or one of my many sparkly gemmed necklaces. As much as I am a sucker for anything in a grey marl fabric, to my surprise I am currently loving loudly printed items. After scouring many a clothing store online I came across an eclectic mix of printed clothing items on Miss Selfridge. Here are my top 8 printed items from Miss Selfridge, I can't wait to go out and purchase a few of these must haves!!

Miss Selfridge. Print It. Top Picks

You can shop the collection at Miss Selfridge Online or alternatively shop the links at Polyvore; 1. Kimono £25 / 2. Tropical Cami £20 / 3. Pink Halter Cami £20 / 4. Pastel Print Skirt £35 / 5. Pastel Print T-Shirt £35 / 6. Neon Print Scarf £9 / 7. Geo Print Skort £258. Powder Blue Playsuit £39

Hello, my name is Belle and I am a Lush Cosmetics addict....

Hello Beauties,
I've got a sneaky feeling that I am now officially a Lush Cosmetics addict. I have of course secretly known this for quite some time now, however I have tried my best to not admit this, for my bank balance sake and my own! I often come up with excuses for my extreme shopping sprees at Lush. I can now admit that I do not need to justify the ludicrous amounts of my hard earned pennies that I spend on Lush products.
I shop there frequently and excessively, simply because Lush Cosmetics are the best brand for a beautifully hand made bath bomb, a dreamy bath melt or a sumptuous hair mask! Admitting to this has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and I will never experience the feeling of guilt after a long and tricky day at Lush, deciding which of the 10 bath bombs in my basket that I actually really do need.
On my most recent trip to Lush I spent £94.55 (I wasn't lying when I said it was excessive).
A few of the products I purchased I class as treats and a few are absolute essentials, I would even go as far as saying that they are a few of my holy grail items. I do not smoke and I very rarely drink, so spending this much money at Lush does not seem too much to me once every few months, there I go justifying myself again, oooops!

Here is a list of the products I purchased including links to each one;
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner £15.95, H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment £9.50, Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie £16.50, Rehab Shampoo £10.75, Retread Hair Conditioner £10.25,Green Bubbleroon Bubble Bar £3.50, New Shampoo Bar £5.50, Think Pink Bath Bomb £2.50, Butterball Bath Bomb £2.50, Melting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt £3.95, Yuzu and Cocoa Bubble Bar £3.25, May Day Bath Bomb £2.95, Honey Bee Bath Bomb £3.25

Even though I spent a total of £94.55 on 13 products, you can pop to your local Lush Store or shop Lush Online and pick up a treat for as little as £1.00, however I dare you to visit Lush and spend less than £10. With the deliciously tempting scents, the gorgeously displayed products lying around and the ever so helpful and charming staff members on hand ready to advise you, it's nearly impossible to leave empty handed!

I will be reviewing each product that I purchased in my next few posts, so stay tuned for them.

Having a hair cut

Hello Beauties,
In the past month I have gone from having long light brown hair with highlights, to short blonde hair.
At first I was absolutely terrified at the aspect of saying goodbye to my luscious locks. However to my dismay, looking closely at my long hair proved that it wasn't 'luscious' after all, but thoroughly damaged and quite simply in horrendous condition. And so a trip to the hairdressers was in order.
I opted for a long bob with The Saturday's, Molly King in mind and came out surprisingly ecstatic with the result. My hair feels light and bouncy and a lot more healthy!

Are you thinking of having your hair transformed? Share your healthy hair tips with me!

Candle Mania

Hello Beauties,
Just like many other bloggers alike I am candle crazy. There isn't a room in my house that doesn't have a candle collection in, in my opinion they make any home nice and cosy. My go to candle is of course the trusted Yankee candle. I enjoy the seasonal scents such as Christmas and Easter. My favourites are Vanilla Cupcake, Honey and Spice and Vanilla Lime.
I thought I would share with you my candle set up in my living room.

The set of drawers is actually a coat rack with drawers that hangs on the wall, I bought this in Tkmaxx for £15, instead of hanging it on the wall I turned it upside down and have placed it on a white side cabinet from ikea.

The golden crackle tea light holder was £3 from Asda, the tea cup I found for 50p in a local charity shop and I use the saucer to put my rings on. The third tea light holder came in a set of four from tesco for £2. The wax tart melt is from my local Yankee candle store for £15, it is gold and black glass mosaic. The green metal holder is from Ikea and was £3 for two.

The large white metal pot was £5 from ikea, when not in use with candles I often use it as a vase by placing the flowers in a pint glass of water and placing these inside the metal pot. Putting candles inside creates a lovely light pattern across the room.

Breakfast in Bed, Lose Your Lingerie, White Hot Love

Hello Beauties,
No I am not going crazy, however the title to this blog post says otherwise! They are actually the names to the new nail polishes that Rita Ora has in her collection for Rimmel. I reviewed them in my last post, take a look if you get the chance.
I thought I'd post a picture of how I painted my nails with the three nail polishes.

Rita Ora for Rimmel

Hello Beauties,
On my most recent trip to Boots I intended to avoid the make up isles. They are way too alluring for me and terribly dangerous for my bank balance. However as per usual I was unable to resist! I walked past an end stand and three pastel nail polishes caught my eye. I marched straight up to the cash desk, paid and left. NO WILL POWER!

The three polishes that I picked up are by Rimmel and are part of Rita Ora's new collection. I own a few of the Rimmel 60 seconds nail polishes and quiet like them. The brushes are wide and short and great for one stroke coverage.
The shades that I picked up were three beautiful pastel shades and bang on trend for spring.

203 Lose Your Lingerie is a baby pink with slight shimmer which does not transfer on to the nail. At first the shimmer slightly put me off however the shade is very opaque and has little to no shimmer which is a slight disappointment now I see it on the nail, a bit of shimmer wouldn't go a miss!

873 Breakfast in Bed is a mint green with a slight shimmer however just like Lose Your Lingerie the shimmer does not translate onto the nail once dry. It is a great shade, I just wouldn't quite consider it a pastel, it seems a shade slightly too dark for my liking to be classed as a pastel.

703 White Hot Love is a white polish with a slight shimmer which just like the other two shades does not translate onto the nail at all once dry. It is a great white polish that everyone needs in their collection.

What I will say about the "shimmer" that is visible very clearly when looking at the bottle, it is not so visible on the nail once dry at all, however it does give the overall look more of a glossier sheen than an average nail polish. For me the glossier my nails look, the better!

Rita Ora's collection for Rimmel is now available at boots and at www.boots.com at £3.69 each and are currently in the 3 for 2 offer.

Let me know if you've used these before.
Love, Belle

Return to blogger

Hello my beauties,
It has been a year and five months since I have posted on blogger. I have of course kept up with all of my favourite blogs and am absolutely loving my weekly reads. I went through a phase of wondering if blogging was for me. I sort of had a lack in confidence about blogging and felt a bit conscious about it all.
I often get asked about my blog and I dismiss the questions about why I don't blog anymore. I've missed the world of blogging and seem to be clogging up everybody's news feeds on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and therefore I decided that returning to my lovely blog would be a great idea.
I've missed all of the great feedback and support from you lovely beauties and I can not wait to get back into the wonderful world of blogger, blogging and all things beauty!
I hope you all decide to re-join my journey.
Love, Belle.x
